My goal is to get to know as many professors as I possibly can so that someday when I am looking for a career I can put them down as references. I would like to have contacts that I could talk to about anything and that share the same ideas and interests that I have. I think that would be a great mentor to have!

How a faculty mentor will aid my success.
As most of you already know I have just recently changed my major to Journalism. Since I have just changed it I really don't have any contact with the Journalism professors except for one. Her name is Professor Barbara Mack. She actually was the one who made me realize that I wanted to go into Journalism. I think that letting her get to know me would be very beneficial to me in the long run.
